What type of Entertainment do you Provide?: I am a live Caricaturist.
Number of years in the business: 13
How did you get into the entertainment business?
I started out drawing live caricatures in 1998 at a theme park as a summer job as a college student. 13 years later drawing caricatures has taken me all across the U.S. and Europe, working events for corporate clients and drawing in premiere tourist destinations.
What’s your favorite type of event?
If I had to choose my favorite type of event I’d say college events are probably my favorite. College kids typically like wilder, funnier drawings, and they are fun to talk to. I also love working trade shows. I always get large crowds watching me draw, which makes my clients happy because it draws attention to their product. Trade shows are awesome for me because it makes me aware of products and services I might not have known ever existed. I also like knowing that my drawings are helping my client reach a wider audience
What’s your most memorable event?
Well, thats a tough question, I’ve done work for nearly every type of client … but I guess I’d have to say my most memorable gig was a Botox party I worked at a plastic surgery office. When the guests sat down for drawings I’d ask for them to smile and their faces didn’t move… true story.
Memorial Day Fun Facts!
Memorial Day is a patriotic holiday in the United States of America, usually celebrated on the lastMonday in May.
Memorial Day was declared a federal holiday in 1971. We now, designate this day to remember loved ones who have passed on, as well as remembering our service men and women.
Waterloo, N.Y. is considered the birthplace of this holiday because the people of Waterloo were the first people to proclaim a day on May 5, 1866 to honor the soldiers who died in the Civil War. They closed their businesses and placed flowers and flags on the graves of their soldiers. Flags were flown at half-mast.
