We interviewed one of our oft-requested face
painters, Maria
S., to let you know a little bit about the kind of performers we promote to you.
What type of entertainment do you provide? Face painting and balloon twisting through About Faces Entertainment.
When and how did you get into this business? I had painted at my daughter’s school doing cheek
art, but never did I think I could do this professionally as I do now! I love it! I got into this business through a very good friend of mine, Jill, who had just moved to Arizona. Jill inspired me and motivated
me because she liked my work, and I learned to work in her style. It even came down to a point where she thought my work was her work when she saw pictures.
What is the most memorable event you’ve ever worked at? My most memorable event has to be the birthday party I did for the twins of Steve Nash, the professional basketball player who played for our
Arizona Suns and is now with the Los Angeles Lakers.
What is one thing you’d like everyone to know about you? I didn’t know what to write about myself so I had a close friend write what he thought about me. Here is his answer: I’ve
known Maria for the majority of my life…Not only is she beautiful, she is warm, witty, charming and most of all loving and kind. She always puts others before herself and creates an atmosphere of fun and cheer wherever she goes.
