Describe the type of entertainment you provide.
“I draw quick cartoon portraits of people, capturing some aspect of that person in the moment, like funky boots or bright red lipstick.”
When and how did you get into this business?
“I drew caricatures of the debate team at my high school in Texas. However, my first paying gig was during art school in St. Louis. When I came to the DC area after school, I answered an ad in the newspaper to draw caricatures at a mall full-time for a summer.”
What’s the most memorable event you’ve ever worked at?
“I drew Julian Bond at a private party in a backyard. I’ve also drawn at Redskin players’ mansions and events where Earth, Wind and Fire is the entertainment!”
What’s one thing you’d like everyone to know about you?
“It’s all about the times when I know I’ve captured the person’s essence in a caricature and the moment I show the drawing to the person…They see it too. That moment is what keeps me in this business and keeps me striving to improve.“
