Zakia has been an artist her entire existence! She began applying henna shen she was still a child, and she studied the the history and origins of henna. The intricacy of traditional henna designs fascinates her, and Zakia has always found solace and peace with these never-ending creations. She is a self-taught artist who loves working with natural henna to create self-expressive art, all based on the best flow and movement within the design itself. She was introduced to henna in the mid 1980’s and has been doing henna since 1998.
Zakia is a true artist. Doing henna is her passion and hobby. She will never use black henna and has always educated fellow artists and customers about the danger of using chemical and black henna.

- $170/hour, with a 2 hour minimum.
