Ray started out doing small magic shows as CHIPPO the Clown. As opportunities arose Ray discarded the greasepaint and found that the good magic still plays regardless of character costume. He has been performing magic since 1985. Ray belongs to The International Brotherhood of Magicians and has been bestowed with the Merlin Award. Ray is also a member of The Society of American Magicians and a Life Member of The International Magicians Society. He has held various offices in the local clubs of the IBM and SAM and has been selected as Pittsburgh's Magician of the Year four times! From close-up strolling magic to parties and stage shows, Ray's magic always involves comedy and wholesome family-oriented entertainment with lots of audience participation. Ray Lucas has been a feature performer and lecturer at many conventions and banquets.
Ray is constantly in demand in the Tri-State area. Ray can also provide balloon sculptures before or after the magic, doing over 25 shapes of animals, flowers, hats, swords and magic wands. No matter what the occasion, Ray has many props and routines for birthday parties, picnics, Easter, Halloween, Christmas and Patriotic Holidays. He is constantly updating and changing his shows to give the best performance he can. Ray tracks all his shows and has plenty of props and routines so that you would be seeing a completely different show even if you had booked him previously.

Options:
Strolling: Strolling magic and/or balloon sculptures. He can do over 25 different shapes of balloons including animals, flowers, hats, swords and magic wands. The magic is closeup using cards, coins and other smaller object where the magic happens right in front of onlookers or in their own hands.
Birthday Show: 30-35 minute magic show followed by balloon sculptures for all children over the age of 3. He uses the birthday child at least twice within the show. The conclusion of the show is a magical production for the birthday child.
Stage Show: 45-50 minute magic show featuring lots of comedy, audience participation and sight gags.
Rates
Strolling: $180/hr with a two hour minimum.*
Birthday Show: $325 for a show for 20 children or less.*
Stage Show: $400 for the show description outlined above.*
