Peter John L - Wisconsin Balloon Sculptors

Peter John got started twisting balloons, back in 1986 when he was doing shows as a fire eater and escape artist. At the end of the shows crowds of kids would come up asking for an autograph. While he was signing autographs, another group of kids would run for his props. In an effort to keep these kids away from dangerous props, he started to offer simple balloon creations as his assistants would load his props into the truck.

This worked well for the first year, but anywhere he would return for a second show, the kids would run for the props as they had already received his single balloon creations. In order to keep the audiences happy he kept adding new balloon designs. Eventually, he received more calls for balloon than escapes and fire eating, so he dropped most of his other endeavors and specialized mostly in balloon twisting.
