Monte B is one of our Caricature Artists in Kelowna:
Monte has drawn attention with caricatures since grade school through high school in a specialized Commercial Art Program. His first published pictures of teachers, friends and others were used in year-books as well as winning local contests. Encouraged by the recognition, he attended Emily Carr Fine Art College where he almost forgot how to draw humorously.
His real education began with ‘on-the-job’ experience selling gag cartoons to magazines with Lo Linkert as a mentor, assisting Vance Rodewalt on his syndicated comic strip, and producing political cartoons for several newspapers; all along entertaining with quick-draw caricatures for countless happy hosts for over two decades now. He keeps busy with freelance studio work, custom caricatures and music. A 'people person' by nature, Monte enjoys getting out and drawing live for festivals, corporate events, parties, weddings, etc. Keeping his humor on the positive side Monte also likes to say "I only draw what I see—more or less". His combination of an "uncanny" resemblance and fun with a fast drawing style always makes for a popular take-home experience and memory of the event.

Traditional Caricatures:- B&W Heads Only: 30 people per hour
- B&W Body / Gag: 20 people per hour
- Color Heads Only: 10-15 people per hour
- Color Body / Gag: 10 people per hour
Rates
- $160/hour, with a 2 hour minimum.
