Melita began drawing at a young age and, according to her mother, drew her first portrait at age two. Although already quite experienced with drawing portraits and cartoons, Melita’s first attempt at drawing a "caricature" occurred after graduating from art school. She took a summer job drawing caricatures at on the touristy streets near Boston's Faneuil Hall, and quickly learned the trade. After moving to California in 2007, she took a job at Universal Studios in Hollywood, which helped her perfect her style and speed even more. A few years later she continued to study drawing and cartooning at the Animation Guild in Hollywood, adding some pizazz to her graphic skills. Finally, after many years of ink stained fingers and pencil smudged paper, she discovered the joys of drawing on the iPad pro. Melita its still in love with this intuitive device and is amazed on how it performs. To the bystander, this seems evident and is what makes it so enjoyable to watch.

Drawing Speeds (drawing speeds are an indication of what the artist is capable of and are not guaranteed)
Digital Caricatures:- B&W Digital Caricatures: 12-16 people per hour
- Color Digital Caricatures: 8-10 people per hour
Requirements and Equipment:
- Output Options: 4x6" prints and I upload it to a group site for download later.
- Provided Equipment: Ipad pro with pencil, apple tv to cast mirror screen to 24" vertical monitor, printing epson 4x6' or 5x7" photo printer,
- Backup Equipment: I try to bring two of everything. Can also upload final drawings for later download in the case of printer or wifi issues.
- Requirements: 6ft event table, 3 chairs, Access to electricity (within 12 ft), 3 prong grounded outlet, wifi is helpful but not mandatory, If outside, full protection from elements is required (meaning set up in a tent, It needs a top and sides, no rain can get near eq
Rates
- Digital Caricature Rate: $270/hour, with a 2 hour minimum.
