Kathy Dee - Nevada Caricature Artists

Kathy Dee is a talented & diverse, traditional artist who's been drawing caricatures at parties and events since 1991. She holds a BFA in Drawing from the University of Iowa School of Art and Art History. She’s also a currently credentialed Art educator with experience teaching people of all ages.

Kathy is a people person, and her bubbly, conversational style consistently delights and entertains her clients, and puts them at ease while having their caricature drawn. She strives to capture the charmingly unique appeal--and yes, even the innate cuteness!--of each person who sits for her.

Kathy’s caricatures are 100% hand-drawn in traditional, time-honored style, using only a pencil/pen/brush on paper. She uses no computer software or technology whatsoever to complete her original, hand’s-on artwork. “Have pencil, will travel” is her unofficial motto!

Kathy Dee is strictly an old-school artist—and her clients seem to love it.

She most often renders her caricatures using pencil/art pens on 11x14 Bristol drawing paper, with a standard-size portable drawing board. She provides each client with a flat plastic bag to protect their completed caricatures.

Some of Kathy's past clients include: Intel, Pepsi, the University of New Mexico Press, Sandia National Labs, Kirkland AFB, City of Los Alamos, University Hospital & Clinics, Agilent Technologies, St. Baldrick’s Foundation charity events, and the Pebble Beach CA Golf Links, along with scores of private/individual clients.
