Jim began sculpting balloons by making them for his clients when he worked as a counselor in human services. He then began entertaining at children's parties, and from there he started doing store grand openings, fairs, corporate events, and almost any kind of event you could think of. Besides entertaining with balloon sculptures, he has also taught balloon sculpture at schools in the Philadelphia area. He has also been a featured guest on The Today Show in New York.
