Irene S - Pennsylvania Face Painters

Irene is a Pittsburgh based visual artist who has a strong passion for using the human body as a canvas. Her detailed artwork is soothing and relaxing to create and watch. Her early upbringing in the Desert Southwest, as well as having a professional photographer as a father and a seamstress for a mother, sculpted Irene to continually explore multiple mediums of art. She spent over 15 years as a nail artist in salons in her early years, which morphed into murals at local church daycare centers and canvases. Her motto is “Just give me a paint brush”. Her artwork can be found for brief moments as she turns a face or a body into a moving canvas during any event. Showcasing her work through RAW or at the Face and Body Art Convention continues to carve and mold her talent. Irene finds her inspiration mostly from nature and special moments in everyday life.
