Fran G - Florida Mimes

Fran G is one of our Mimes in Tampa:

Fran has been a mime and interactive character since 1977. She has performed for small events and large events. Her living statues are unique because she doesn’t just stand there, but playfully interacts with onlookers. Fran has had the honor of studying under Tony Montinaro at Celebration Barn Theater in Maine. Tony created such illusions for Marcel Marceou such as: getting trapped in a box, pulling a rope, going up and down an escalator, just to name a few.

Fran’s mechanical woman has been popular since she moved to Florida in 1994. She has actually had patrons plan their vacation around her street performances in St. Petersburg. She has been performing for the Tampa RV show for over 15 years. This talented mime even fooled a man who made robots. He wanted to know what company created her at a Tampa event. He was shocked to know that she was real.

This gal is worth every penny and you will want her to come back again and again. “My biggest joy is to see unsuspecting people get caught up in another world with my characters. Laughter is a good medicine, and people continue to amaze me with their own creativity and participation. I have found that both the young and the old love to come out and play. I just happen to give everyone the freedom to do exactly that.” -Fran
