Diane was serendipitously introduced to clown arts at the very beginning of her 30-year career as a mechanical engineer in the automotive industry. Her colleague had a side gig as a street performer and he introduced her to the exciting world of circus arts (unicycling, juggling, clowning, and balloon twisting) during lunch breaks. She was hooked! Since retiring from engineering in 2018, Diane has been thriving in her 2nd career as a Family Entertainer. She is an award-winning clown (2024 World Clown Assoc Convention) and has won medals for her balloon sculptures, facepainting, makeup/costume, and skits.
At large events, like festivals and fairs, she offers a menu of more simple but fun balloon designs and can produce at least 30 per hour.
For smaller private parties, she embellishes basic designs and has an expanded menu of more complicated multi-balloon options.
Above all, Diane loves dreaming up original creations as unique custom gifts or small-scale décor for special events, including weddings and funerals
