Desi C - South Carolina Henna Tattoo Artists

Desi picked up a cheap henna kit at a bookstore in 1997 and despite the fact that the paste didn't work, the delivery system was flawed, and the kit was an overall flop, she became enamored. She looked for a better supplier, but back then a good supplier of natural henna wasn't easy to find, and she was working to help put herself and her Husband-to-be through college, so the idea of henna fell by the wayside for a while.

Then, in 2005, she started looking for quality henna again. This time, she found what she was looking for after a few tries and then began again to try and play with the medium. Her early work was simple, but as she practiced it became more and more detailed and polished. She saved up to go to conferences all over the US, taking classes to learn more about the history, science, and design aspects. She studied and became certified by ICNHA, and she dreams of being able to educate the world about the fun and beauty of natural henna.

Besides working in henna, Desi also works in glitter, a fun newer medium that lasts for about a week depending on care, and sparkles until it's removed.  Both glitter and henna are offered at all events.
