DeShondra L - Virginia Face Painters

DeShondra had the honor of painting her first live canvas 15 years ago. While in Germany painting murals she was pulled into the children’s corner of an event, to assist a young man who had been designated to be the events face painter. He was only too happy to let her take his place. After hours of painting children and adults alike, DeShondra began to see the joy in the faces of those she painted. From that moment she immediately fell in love with the art of face painting and having a human as her beautiful canvas. The thought of painting full wall sized canvases in comparison to small, three dimensional canvases that moved, gave her the opportunity to take on the type of challenge many artists may never have the opportunity to experience. Thus widening her capabilities and skills as an artist. She has studied and practiced. Learning popular cartoon characters, animals, designs and other brush strokes that brings out the “Inner child” in everyone that she touched, becoming visible for the world to see.
