Amy discovered henna at the prompting of a friend in 1999. She fell in love with the art and began researching its history and practicing on herself and friends. She began freelancing in the early 2000s and in 2009 officially launched her own business. Amy has served a diverse array of clients from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. She also has participated in major Birmingham-area cultural and international events such as the Moss Rock Festival, Birmingham International Street Fair and the UAB International Bazaar.
