February’s Featured Entertainer is… Terry J!! Describe the type of entertainment you provide.
I provide quality face painting, body painting, henna and glitter tattoos for all ages.
When and how did you get into this business?
I started face painting almost on a whim after painting at a church function. Little did I know that I would be doing this 8 years later! I have a background in art related subjectes from music to cake decoration and everything in between, but my passion is face painting.
What is the most memorable event you have ever worked at?
The best event I ever painted at was at Kennedy Kreiger Institute, where I painted kids who were in the hospital for debilitating diseases that keep them in the hospital for most of their lives. They had so much fun just in the simple art that I was able to do on them and gave me such heartfelt thanks that I was brought to tears. I’ve been privileged to be of service to them twice and look forward to going again.
What is one thing you’d like everyone to know about you?
I’m pretty low key and love talking to the kids. I pride myself in making every child that sits in my chair feel like they are the most special person I have ever painted.
Have a fabulous February! And don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.
