Another Satisfied Customer for About Faces Entertainers!
“We appreciate you helping us find a wonderful
entertainer at the last minute. Apple Dumpling was very pleasant to work with,
she was absolutely wonderful with the kids, our kids just surrounded her the
entire time she was there so she was working non-stop. We were glad we made the
call to About Faces – you guys made the entire process, from contracting to
entertaining, a cake walk for us; it was so much easier then we had imagined.
Thanks again.” -Gwen, MD
“About
Faces Entertainers always do a great job. The guests at our Dog Day Afternoon
event could not get enough out of the caricatures and the face painting.” -Kelly, MD
“I would say
that both [Carrie, henna artist and Anthony, caricature artist] were awesome! They were on time and once they were set up they were
very self sufficient which made my job very easy! I would definitely hire both
of them back!” – Roger WIlliams University, RI
Everything was
great. Many of the kids at the party (high school seniors) had never had the
opportunity to have a caricature of themselves drawn. They loved it and for
many it was their favorite activity at the party. -Cindy, TX

Memorial Day May 31, 2010
Are you having a Memorial Day BBQ? Then you’re going to need entertainment for the kids! Call us today to reserve your hilarious clown, astounding magician, artistic face painter, or talented henna artist. Maybe a juggler would entertain your guests? If they’re really hard to impress, maybe you should try a stilt walker or impersonator!
Here are some fun facts to impress your guests in conversation:
1. Waterloo, N.Y. is the first town to ever celebrate Memorial Day.
2. The date of Memorial Day was chosen because they wanted the flowers on the soldier’s graves to be blooming on the holiday.
3. Moina Michael started the tradition of wearing red poppies on Memorial Day. She sold them to friends and family to raise money for the servicemen in 1915.
After you’ve memorized all that, give us a call at 800-923-8669 to book your entertainment!
Attention Teachers!
Mary Ann Jung, Historical Women Impersonator, MD/VA/DC
Ok, it’s May and your kids are getting antsy. Christmas break is a distant memory but the end of school is still so far away! Are you teaching American history? I have a great way to get their attention… why not hire a historical impersonator to come into the class and answer their questions?
We have some fascinating historical impersonators ready to tell the story of the Revolutionary War, Civil War, or almost any other aspect of history! Here’s a partial list:
Area of service (geographically): New York City, Long Island and surrounding
areas
Area of Service (what do you do?): I draw caricatures of your lovely
guests!
Number of years in the business: Coming up on 20 years! In a
row!
How did you get into the entertainment business? I did caricatures at theme parks for years, then
gradually worked my way into the magazine and advertising humorous illustration
business. I still do party caricatures, though, because I still enjoy what I
do!
What’s your favorite type of event? I enjoy all types of events, as long as the attendees
are having a good time. If everyone is having fun, I have
fun.
What’s your most memorable event? I drew at a Bat Mitzvah in NYC for a major retailer’s
family. Every NY celeb was there, and though I can’t name names, drew one
famous face after another. Then got to play with the white tigers they had
shipped in for the
event!
