It all started with attempting to draw the majestic "Little Mermaid" VHS cover as a young girl in the late 80's. As Yvette grew older, she continued to try recreating anything that inspired her - her mother's doodles, pictures in books, people she loved. She drew on paper, in sand, on the walls, on herself... and has never stopped! Blessed with an incredibly supportive father, he built Yvette an art studio in their home when she was a teenager. At that time, she began taking painting seriously and studying art books.
Earning a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Advertising, Yvette also gained graphic design and marketing skills. Digital art was fun, but around 2012, she drew her first celebrity caricature and LOVED it. In her mind, caricatures represent the art world's sense of humor and she never misses a good laugh! Nowadays, you can find Yvette leading painting parties, doing marketing work or drawing caricatures at events. People remark about how she constantly smiles as she works - truly operating in giving and receiving JOY!
