Growing up in Malaysia, Aida was familiar with henna as bridal decorative adornments but it never crossed her mind to try her hand at it. Years later, when a neighbor requested henna at her baby shower however, Aida thought, “Hey, I like drawing these intricate designs and patterns and I’m good at it. I’ll be the henna artist at the shower!” It was love at first draw. From then on, she was instantly hooked. In the Summer of 2017, she got to work on her sister’s bridal henna back in Malaysia, so it is all coming full circle.
