Joel K - Florida Caricature Artists

Award-winning caricature artist Joel has captured the likenesses and personalities of folks from all walks of life. From live gatherings at events to commissioned caricatures, from family and friends to business colleagues and industry moguls, from sports heroes and political leaders to Hollywood stars and historical icons, Joel does it all. A custom caricature from Joel may be found in the offices and homes of such notables as actor-comedian Kevin Pollack; entertainer Barry Manilow; former NFL head coach Dom Capers; advertising executive (“AFLAC Duck” commercials) Linda Kaplan Thaler; and the late McDonald’s CEO Ray Kroc. George Clooney is another subject and recipient, since Joel appeared as an extra in Clooney’s Charlotte-shot football flick, “Leatherheads.” Unlike most other caricaturists who use markers, Joel draws with a China Marker, or Grease Pencil, for a uniquely distinctive approach with more tone and a more textured, illustrative look. Joel was recently named “artist-in-residence” at the nationally famed Palm restaurant (Charlotte, NC, location), drawing VIP’s of every industry onto the caricature-filled walls of the iconic eatery.  Joel works in Florida from January through March and in Charlotte from April through December!
