A lot of our larger events over the years have been company picnics and corporate family days. These high-volume events serve a closed group of guests, as they are not open to the public, but still need to offer quick service to avoid long lines and wait times for employees and their families. These specific needs make these events slightly trickier to book out than small private parties or large street fairs. Sometimes it can be a struggle to determine what is the best company picnic entertainment. But with the benefit of experience, I am here to help!
When booking entertainment for your company picnic or family day, About Faces reccomends booking in the following types of entertainment:
- Caricature Artists work at any event, really, but they’re extra fun when the attendees all know each other to a greater or lesser degree. The entertainment value of these artists lasts long after they are presented with their artwork. For the entire day guests will be comparing and showing off their silly portraits, watching their coworkers get drawn in real time, and sharing a good-natured laugh at themselves when they see the completed drawings. Caricature artists are a great option!
- Jugglers stroll your event space and offer ambient entertainment for large groups of guests. It’s hard to get tired of watching jugglers, really, so they are able to entertain a large number of guests essentially indefinitely. Do you have a lull in your schedule between lunch and another scheduled activity? A strolling juggler will keep your attendees entertained and high-energy, ready to absolutely dominate the three-legged race or whatever wretched team building activity they will later be forced to participate in.
- Balloon Twisters are so speedy and fun, and they serve guests of all age ranges. Adults who may hesitate to have their face painted up are usually delighted to receive a balloon wristlet or hat in their company colors or featuring the company’s iconography reinterpreted through balloons. Plus, the completed sculptures look darling in photographs and immediately make everyone look like they’re having a blast in your social media posts. Win/Win!
These are just our top three choices for a great company picnic, but depending on the type of industry, number of guests, and general character of your group, the sky is the limit. We have sent out everything from ordinary face-painters to extraordinary four-legged walking vines to company parties across the USA over the last 30 years of business. We’d love to help out with your party next! Reach out to About Faces using the form on this page or by filling out our exit inquiry form.
